Ichigo ichie is the fusion of a silence installation, a poetic performance and a Japanese tea hut. The installation brings simplicity, artistic expression and sensitivity as a stilled experience for the visitor.
The installation/performance was developed and is brought by Maja Jantar and Jozefien Muylle.
Maja Jantar is a cross-disciplinary artist living in Finland. Her work bridges different forms of expression including the poetic, performance, voice, visual arts, direction and ceramics.
As a tea sommelier, Jozefien Muylle offers tea ceremonies, workshops, tastings and training through her organisation The Natural Way of Tea. Beauty, art and compassion are inseparable from her tea activities.
Visitors of the installation/performance follow a path with various underlayers leading to a sound performance and tea ceremony.
